I completed the Master of Flexible Learning at USQ in 2007. I'm married with a grown up daughter.

In the past I taught as a volunteer on the adult literacy scheme.

Now my main involvement is as secretary of the East of Scotland Branch of Ataxia UK http://www.ataxia-east-scotland.org.uk and I also run the branch website (thanks USQ and FET5621!). Ataxia UK link: http://www.ataxia.org.uk

I work at Napier University, Edinburgh, Scotland UK. http://www.napier.ac.uk

Various holiday jobs whilst at school & university - including working as a laboratory technician in chemistry & botany departments at Westfield College, University of London.

Trainee / qualified accountant, London Borough of Croydon 1976 - 1978

Part time / full time lecturer in accounting, Croydon College 1979 - 1987

Lecturer / Senior lecturer in accounting, Napier College / Polytechnic / University (all the same place!) 1987 - present.

Member of CIPFA

BSc (Hons) in Environmental Studies, University College, University of London 1969 - 1972 (this was actually an architecture degree but 'environmental studies' was a new and fashionable term at the time, the course shortly afterwards reverted to BSc Architecture).

CIPFA - I'm a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy http://www.cipfa.org.uk/ and studied for these exams from 1972 to 1976.
